This section will configure a brand new hypervisor image; first login, and network setup.

First Login

This segment goes through the first login on a freshly installed hypervisor image.

  1. Open a serial console to the server if one is not already open from completing the ISO Installation guide.

  2. After booting, the login prompt should be presented

    hypervisor login:

  3. Login as root with a blank password, the system will immediately prompt for the password to be changed/set.

    hypervisor login: root

Networking Bootstrap

This segment sets up necessary interfaces for the Fawkes management VM.

  1. Configure the trunk interfaces.

    crucible network interface --noip bond0 --members mgmt0,mgmt1

  2. Configure the site-link.
